Home Made Hushpuppies
The Origianal Recipe:
My stepmom gave his recipe to me. Her sister gave it to her. This is the first time I have ever made them, and I must say, way easy!! I thought it would take a bit longer, but I just plopped them right in my cast iron skillet after I cooked my fish, and voila, they were done!
Hushpuppies
½ cup cornmeal
½ cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
¾ cup milk
½ cup onion (chopped fine)
1 egg
Mix all ingredients together. Heat frying oil and drop spoonfuls into hot oil. Fry until crispy brown.
